Mail between rooms
!mail reaches anyone in any ACGbots room. They get a notice when they're back, and staff mail carries a ✓ tag.

Commands
Type these in a room with ACGbots. Most rooms use !, but the owner can pick another symbol, and can change who may use each command.
Setting up your bot
About five minutes. You need to be an owner of the room, and the room needs the (bot) power.
Create a panel account
Sign in at the panel and add a bot. Give it a name and your room's name, exactly as it is in the room's address.
Assign the (bot) power
In your room, type (bot), click the smiley and choose Assign.
Point the power at ACGbots
In the room's group settings, tick the BOT power and click Edit. Enter ACGbots' bot account ID, shown in your panel's setup steps, as the Bot ID, leave AppBot ID at 0 and save.
Start the bot
Press Start bot in the panel. It usually joins within a few seconds.
Approve it
A room owner types !confirmbot within 2 minutes of the bot joining. This only happens the first time, or when you move it to a new room.
Make it yours
Type !help to check it answers, then set your blocked words, staff list and welcome message in the panel.
Stuck? Sign in and open a ticket under Support.
Pricing
Every bot can run free. Bot time unlocks the rest, for one bot ID, and the bot goes back to the free plan when it runs out. A new account's first bot gets a free 5-day trial of the paid plan.
These are the only people who work for ACGbots. Anyone can copy a name, so here's how to be sure.
Check the xat IDNames and looks can be copied. The number under each person can't.
Type !acgstaffIn any chat with an ACGbots bot, the bot lists the real staff and who's there right now.
Look for the ✓ tagMail from staff shows a verified ACGbots tag that nobody else can add.
Not on this list? Not staff. Staff never ask for your password, your API key, or xats and days sent to them. Bot time is only ever paid to the bot account with your Bot ID as the message.
Need a hand?
Ask the team in our chat, or open a ticket in the panel.
This explains what ACGbots stores, why, and for how long. ACGbots is a bot service for xat.com chat rooms. It isn't run by xat, and xat has its own privacy policy for everything you do on xat.
If you have a panel account
Your sign-in: username, email and password. Passwords are stored scrambled (hashed), so nobody at ACGbots can read them. If you turn on two-step login, we store its secret and scrambled backup codes.
A sign-in cookie, used only to keep you signed in. It lasts 30 days, or until you sign out.
Emails we send you, only about your account: a link to confirm your email, password reset links (they work once, for 30 minutes), a note when your email or password changes, and, unless you turn them off on the Account page, ticket replies and a reminder before your bot time runs out. We keep whether your email is confirmed and those two choices. Links are stored scrambled (hashed). No adverts, and your email is never shared or shown to anyone. Emails go through our mail provider (MXroute).
Your bots: the settings you enter, such as names, rooms, word lists, staff lists with xat IDs, and messages.
Support tickets and our replies.
Payments: the sender's xat ID, the amount, the transfer message and the time.
Your linked xat account, if you link one on the Account page: its xat ID and registered name, so !mybots and !fix in the ACGbots chat know which bots are yours. It stays with your account until you link a different one.
When you agreed to these terms and this policy.
If you're in a room with an ACGbots bot
The bot sees what everyone in the room sees. It keeps:
Your xat ID, registered name and when you were last seen, so !mail can find people by name and staff lists can show who was around.
Game points in that room.
Things the bot did or was asked to do involving you, such as a kick, ban, rank change or !report, kept for 180 days. The bot's activity log keeps its last 1,000 entries.
Mail sent with !mail, until the person it was sent to deletes it, or 90 days after it was sent.
Chat messages, only if the room owner turns on chat history. Owners choose to keep them for 1 to 30 days, and private messages are never stored. We ask owners to tell their room when it's on.
Room stats: how many messages, commands, joins and moderation actions there were each hour, the most people online at once, and how often each command was used. These are counts only, with nothing about who, kept for 182 days.
Who can see it
A bot's owner, and anyone they give panel access to, can see that bot's settings, logs, stats, history and chat history. On the paid plan they can download the stats, history and chat history as CSV files.
ACGbots' administrators and support staff can see what they need to run the service and answer tickets. This includes opening your bot's settings and logs read-only. Each time they do, and every change they make to your bot or account, is recorded in a staff-only audit log kept for one year. When you open a ticket or reply to one, staff may be told about it by a private xat message or !mail with the ticket's number, subject and priority, never what you wrote.
In the ACGbots team's own chat room, messages in the main chat are also posted to a private Discord channel for our staff, so Discord's privacy policy applies to that copy. Other rooms aren't affected.
We don't sell your information, show ads, or use tracking or analytics tools.
The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address when the page loads.
Other things we keep briefly
Your IP address is used for a short time to limit repeated wrong sign-in attempts. It's held in memory, not saved. Copies of the database are made every night and kept for 14 days, so deleted information can stay in a backup for up to 14 days.
Your choices
Delete a bot in the panel and its logs, history, chat history, points and staff records are deleted with it.
Turn chat history off and the stored messages are deleted straight away.
Use !mail delete to remove mail sent to you, and !mail block to stop mail from someone.
To see or delete anything else, including your panel account, open a support ticket in the panel.
Age
You must be at least 13 to create a panel account.

Terms of use
Last updated 3 November 2026
By creating a panel account or adding an ACGbots bot to a room, you agree to these terms.
What ACGbots is
ACGbots runs bots in xat.com chat rooms. It's an independent service, not made or approved by xat. You must also follow xat's own terms, and xat can change how rooms and bots work at any time. The ACGbots administrator has the top bot rank (Bot owner) in every room with an ACGbots bot, so they can help with problems and abuse; they are listed by !acgstaff.
Your account and your bots
You must be at least 13.
Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens with your account and with anyone you give panel access to.
Only add a bot to rooms you own or have the owner's permission for.
If you turn on chat history, tell the people in your room that chat is recorded.
Don't use ACGbots to
spam, harass, threaten or scam anyone, or post anything illegal
break xat's terms, or get around another room's bans
attack, overload or try to break into the service, or reach other people's bots or data
We can stop or remove a bot, or close an account, that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk.
Bot time and payments
Bot time is added to one Bot ID. When it runs out, that bot goes back to the free plan.
Transfers on xat can't be reversed by us. If a payment didn't arrive or was added to the wrong bot, open a support ticket and we'll look into it.
Bot time isn't refundable once it's added, except where the law requires it.
No guarantees
We work to keep bots online, but ACGbots is provided as it is, without a promise that it will always be available or work perfectly. xat may change or block things outside our control. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses caused by the service being down or a bot not acting as expected.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
